More than 200 species of plants and animals can be found on your 285-acre
hideaway. Nearly 50 varieties of natural wildflowers sprinkle the
area from early spring to late fall, literally changing with the season. The trees range from the orange trees planted years ago to the cypress
and giant sycamore that exist here naturally.
White-tailed deer occasionally wander across the property and are sometimes
seen swimming across the river in the moonlight. Wild turkey
and wild hogs are also present in the area surrounding the house. The hooting of various species of owls compliments the daytime contingent
of cranes, ducks, robins, cardinals, woodpeckers, and dozens of other birds.
You may want to take the canoes up one of the nearby creeks, or explore
the miles of forests. If you enjoy nature, you'll love Bailey Mill.
The smell of the wild azaleas growing along the river in the spring is one more reason to visit Bailey Mill!
