“What a truly fabulous week Mike and I had in your beautiful house on the river.  It was the vacation I longed for.  A very nurturing, replenishing week. Obviously, you hear all the time that the setting is just stunning.  I savored the ‘quiet’.  Which of course wasn't quiet at all, but filled with wonderful birdsong, wood pecking and other grand "non-human" sounds. I canoed daily and took a long walk every morning.  The other thing that was fabulous is your house.  Such a comfortable, light filled oasis!  Reading your guest book, it is no wonder your house feels so happy and relaxing.  So many folks have experienced wonderful times in and around it.”- Mary C. and Mike P., Maryland

“We so enjoyed our stay at the Mill & will certainly recommend it. November was a very nice time to visit Bailey Mill (as well as the area's attractions) - weather wise every day was perfect! It proved to be the best "rest/relax & no agenda" break we have ever had...we really did just go into total "down" time....sheer heaven! The peace & quiet with only the sounds of birds was wonderful. The smell of the piney woods and soft air wafting in the windows meant we slept like logs! . . . We couldn't ask for more as far as the fitting-out of the house goes- everything anyone could want was provided.” – Joseph B., Scotland

“We thoroughly enjoyed our week on the Satilla.  The weather was cool, but with all of the hiking and canoeing we was perfect.  Our two boys Andrew (13) and Ryan (12) enjoyed exploring the area and they found large chains, pottery and glass on your property that they believe are from the mill days.

“As we have been to the Golden Isles many times, we decided to explore the local sights and people.  We really enjoyed the local flavor...Woodbine has quite a character running the "International Fire Museum". The folks who ran the sporting goods store in Folkston really helped us out on getting what we needed to fish. (They could tell that we needed it!!)  They directed us down to the Okefenokee Restaurant for lunch.  That place was a gold mine! Kelly and I were absolutely impressed with your home and how well it was set up.  We found EVERYTHING we needed for the week...right there!”- Clifford J., Georgia

“We enjoyed the quietness and your beautiful house. Ideal vacations to wash your brain!! – Marylene B., Paris

“This week has been the greatest! We really have enjoyed the house, the nature, the peace and quiet, and especially the privacy. . . letting us fulfill our first week of marriage together. We plan to return!” - Kim and John H., South Carolina

“We love the sense of space and the wide open sky. What is also nice is that the house feels really looked after and is exceptionally clean” - Florence and Peter, London

“Great honeymoon week. The cottage was quiet and laid back enough for us to relax, but near enough to make several trips to Jekyll & St. Simon’s Islands for golf, beach, and sightseeing.”- Preston and Sherly, Indiana

“It was—inside and outside—a perfect house for three weeks of perfect vacations. We are sure we will come again.”- Anne, Wolfgang, and Moritz, Dusseldorf, Germany

“Incredible! Full moon tonight will be stellar! Saw wild turkey hen and 10 chicks crossing driveway yesterday!”– Wayne G., Chicago

“Bailey’s Mill is bliss, so peaceful and natural. . . We really enjoyed the birdsong. . . The river is beautiful, such a calming effect. The house had everything we required & more.” – Jan & Brian, Dublin, Ireland

“Thank you for sharing your peaceful corner of the earth. We’ve enjoyed lazy days of paddling up and down the river and discovering the hidden treasures of your property. We especially enjoyed paddling along the old rice field canals during low tide. The wild azalea was in full bloom with perfume. We sighted many different species of birds, flowers, plants, and animals. . . Thank you! Your place is set up perfectly.” - Eric & Jessica, New York
